There are three certifications level in Tableau Desktop:

Validity: This certificate has no expiration.
Prerequisites: There are no required prerequisites for this exam.

Number of Questions: 30
Scoring: Automatically scored; point value varies per question type with hands-on worth more
Passing Score: 70%

2. Desktop Certified Associate:
This exam is for those who have a comprehensive understanding of functionality in Tableau Desktop.
Validity: 2 years
Prerequisites: There are no required prerequisites for this exam.
Exam Format
Time Limit: 2 hours; please plan for extra time for online exam setup.
Question Format: Multiple choice, multiple response, true/false, hands-on
Number of Questions: 36
Scoring: Automatically scored; point value varies per question type with hands-on worth more
Passing Score: 75%
Delivery Platform: Windows Virtual Machine containing Tableau Desktop
3. Desktop Certified Professional:
This exam is intended for those who have advanced knowledge and skills in Tableau Desktop and the ability to apply visual analytics methodologies to help people see and understand data. You should have at least one year of dedicated experience using Tableau Desktop prior to attempting the exam.
Validity: 3 years
Prerequisites:To be eligible to take this exam, you must be an active Tableau Desktop Certified Associate.
Exam Format
Time Limit: 3 hours
Question Format: Hands-on, written response, building/saving solutions in Tableau Desktop
Grading: By committee
Passing Score: Pass/Fail based on a detailed scoring rubric and Tableau Desktop best practices
